Chaim Steg is a Figurative and Abstract artist with a strong emphasis on capturing the mood and atmosphere of his subjects. He paint in acrylics and oil on canvas and board. Aside from exhibiting at larger Art Fairs and online galleries, Chaim regularly works on private commissions.
Born in 1981 in Lakewood, New Jersey, Chaim grew up surrounded by nature and freedom, traits that have shaped his art. A curious mind, from a young age Chaim always showed eagerness to learn and an affinity to the visual arts. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Art & Visual Studies from the Georgian Court University in Lakewood, New Jersey. Creating pictures that are warm and inviting, Chaim believes that having a professional art training gives him the advantage to create mesmerizing art works.
Chaim's art portrays the texture and colors of the vivid world around us. You can easily distinguish his paintings due to his use of vibrant and dynamic colors, and contemporary realism style. By focusing on abstracted figures and landscape features, Chaim strives to illicit active viewership to forge a transcendent relationship between viewer and art work. His paintings are mostly made using acrylics, as its fast drying qualities give him the freedom to mix other mediums more easily.
Chaim Steg says of painting, “I love how simple it could be – filled with interesting texture, color and concept. I perfected my own abstract visions taking inspiration from the places I traveled, colors around me, and surface areas that intrigued me.”
There is a constant audience for his work that keeps him busy creating full-time. His work is widely collected and featured in galleries throughout Canada, Great Britain and the USA.
